Connect file to family member

To create a new client account, we require a unique mobile number or email address. There are several reasons why My Appointments has been created this way. To find out more, read this article.


Where a unique email or mobile is not available, e.g. adding a child when their parent is already a client, you can connect the files to bypass the requirement of a unique number.  To do this, follow these steps:


  1. Add the new client's first and last name  
  2. Select 'Connect file to family member' at the bottom of your pop-up
  3. Under client name, select the client who has already been registered with this email or mobile (e.g. parent's name)
  4. Add the relationship to this patient 
  5. Click Confirm

The new client's file will automatically be updated with the family members' email and/or mobile number. In your client's card, under the Personal Information tab, you'll now see that the two files are connected. This means when the primary account holder, e.g. the parent, logs into their My Appointments account either via the My Appointments website or via your booking link or website, they will now be able to book appointments for each of their connected family members.


If required, you can also disconnect the family members by clicking on the three dots beside the client's name in the Personal Information tab in your client's card.
