Before you begin, please log out of the MA app, and log back in again.
The My Appointments app connects to the terminal via bluetooth. You do not need to install any other applications to process payment via the tap machine in the MA app however you do need to ensure that your phone has bluetooth enabled before you try to process a payment.
In order to conserve battery, the device automatically turns itself off after approximately 15 seconds. Each time you process payment, you only need to click the power on button and then from the invoice on a booked appointment:
- Select 'Add payment'
- Select 'Tap payment'
- Enter the amount to be paid
- Click process payment
- When the terminal shows up, select 'Connect'
- Once connected, you'll see a message to swipe or tap card. Ask your client to do so
- The payment will automatically be updated as paid once successfully processed.
Please note: the tap machines can process payments up to $200 with a physical card and any limit for payments made with a digital wallet. If your client needs to process a payment above $200 with a physical card, you'll need to manually type their card details and process the payment online.
