Block out time in your calendar

My Appointments

Last Update 2 years ago

There are two ways to add block outs in your calendar:

  1. Click + Block out at the top of any page
  2. Click on a time in the calendar you wish to block out then click the 'Block out time' tab on the top right side of the slider.

From either option you then need to:

  1. Name your block out by entering a description e.g. Staff meeting or you can also leave it blank
  2. Select whether the block out will not be repeated (i.e a one-off block out time), or will be repeated daily, weekly, or monthly
  3. Select your block out date and time
  4. If you've selected daily, weekly or monthly, you'll need to complete some additional fields. See details below for how to create fortnightly or custom block outs.
  5. Click 'Save'.

Editing a block out

Block outs can be dragged and dropped into a new time slot or you can click the three dots to edit or delete.

If the block out is part of a series, you'll be asked if you want to edit this single block out or edit all.

Custom blockouts examples

Fortnightly: Select weekly, then select the day/s and times you wish to block out fortnightly. Under "Repeat every:" select 2 and then choose if you want the block out to occur indefinitely or within a certain date range. Select your start date and then click update and save.

Taking every third Saturday off: Select weekly then select Saturday. Enter the start and end time, and then in the repeats field, enter 3. You'll also need to specify when you want this blockout to start and end then click 'Save'.

Taking the first Monday off every month: Select the monthly block-out option then select Monday. Now select the first week of the month, enter your start and end time and specify whether you'd like to block this out indefinitely or for how many months you'd like to block out the first Monday of every month. Enter your start date and click update and save.
